The Principality of Zeon is at war with the Earth Federation. On September 18, 0079, Zeon Lieutenant Commander Char Aznable leads a raid on the space colony of Side 7. There, he discovers the Terran Federation’s new weapon, the RX-78-2 Gundam. He then decides to steal it for himself, setting off a domino effect that will change history as we know it forever. Five years later, on Side 6 of the independent colony, a young Newtype girl is caught up in a hunt for the missing RX-78-2 Gundam. Soon, events conspire to make her the commander of the new prototype, the Gundam GQuuuuuuX, and enter her into the underground mobile suit combat competitions. Surrounded by new friends, she dreams of the skies where she can fly freely and tries to understand her strange powers and find her place in the world.
